How to make it
1
Cut the fillings
- On the cutting board, cut the sausages on a slant 5 mm thick
- Cut the onion into thin slices 5 mm wide
- Cut the green pepper in half lengthwise, remove the seeds and stem, and cut 5 mm wide
How to tell it's doneAll 3 are cut to about the same width.
2
Boil the spaghetti
- Bring 2 L water to a boil in a large pot and add 1 tbsp salt
- Add the spaghetti, spreading it out, and loosen with cooking chopsticks. Use medium heat so it does not boil over
- Boil 1 min longer than the time on the package (Napolitan is best with softer pasta)
- Drain in a strainer
How to tell it's doneEat 1 strand: it is soft, with no hard center.
Be carefulIf you do not stir right after adding it, the pasta sticks together. Stir now and then for the first 1 min.
3
Stir-fry the toppings
- While it boils, put 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a frying pan and heat over medium heat
- Add the sausages and onion and stir-fry 2 min, then add the green pepper and stir-fry 1 min
How to tell it's doneThe onion is soft and see-through, the sausages are browned, and everything is hot when you touch it.
4
Stir-fry the ketchup
- Push the fillings to the side of the frying pan and put 6 tbsp ketchup in the empty space
- Spread just the ketchup with a spatula and fry for 1 min, then mix it with the fillings
How to tell it's doneThe ketchup has turned a little darker red and is bubbling.
Be carefulKetchup splatters. Keep your face away.
5
Toss with the spaghetti
- Put the drained spaghetti in the frying pan and stir-fry for 2 min, mixing everything with tongs
- Turn off the heat, add 10 g butter and a pinch of pepper and mix
- Put on plates and sprinkle with grated parmesan if you like
ReadyNo white pasta is left, and it is orange all over.
