🥄 How to

1

Spread it out on a flat plate or tray (don’t pile it up)

2

To cool faster, set it on ice packs or ice water

3

Once you can touch it, put it in the fridge right away

💡 Why cool it

  • Hot food in the fridge warms up everything else
  • Wrapping it hot traps steam and makes it soggy

⚠️ Be careful

  • Don’t leave it in the pot for hours. Lukewarm food is where germs grow fastest
  • For big batches, divide it up so it cools quickly
  • For lunch boxes, cool food completely before closing the lid
